What is Hiber?

Hiber is a company dedicated to accelerating the adoption of the 3D web by lowering the barriers to creation and participation. To do this, Hiber has built the Hiber3D platform, a lightweight game engine built in C++ with a wide set of services, compatible across all major mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers, native apps, PCs, and consoles. Anyone, no matter skill level, can create a 3D world, either using the no-code create tool or the Hiber3D development kit.

Hiber3D also powers HiberWorld, a hub where people play and create worlds on mobile or PC through a web browser. HiberWorld already hosts more than 5 million user-generated, interconnected 3D worlds.

What is HiberWorld?

HiberWorld enables everyone to create, play, and participate in the 3D web. HiberWorld already supports millions of interconnected virtual worlds, including games, and experiences. HiberWorld is powered by our Hiber3D technology and is incorporating Web3 technology to support digital ownership and interoperability.

How do I create?

To get started on any device, go to www.hiberworld.com and then tap or click Create in the upper right of the screen.

How do I get a HiberWorld account?

Joining HiberWorld is as easy as pressing the Sign Up button, creating a Username and Password, and adding your birthdate so that we can confirm your age since the social features are only available to those over the age of 13.

How can I change my username?

Open the hamburger menu (the three lines in the top right of the screen) and go to Settings. Once there you should see “change username”. Select that and enter your new username. NOTE: This can only be done once every (3) three months.

I lost my password, how do I recover my account?

If you forgot your password, you can try one of these things:

1. If you registered an email when you created your account, go to https://hiberworld.com/forgot-password and type the email you used into the email/username field. We will then send you an automated mail containing the information on how to reset your password.

2. If you did not register with an email, then we can try to reset the password manually for you. However, we need to know the date of birth registered for the account.

3. If you don’t have your password, the date of birth, or access to an email connected to your account, we can’t recover the account info. We don’t have any additional way to unlock or access your account and without an email, there isn’t any personally identifiable information to verify you own the account. Your best option is to start a new account and make sure you either sign-up with an email, write down or take a picture of your Secret Code, or use a password manager to store your login information.

How old do you have to be to join HiberWorld?

You need to be 13 years old or older to join HiberWorld and experience all it has to offer. If you are under the age of 13, you will need to get your parent or guardian’s permission and add their email address in order to join, but the under-13 experience is limited to playing and creating virtual worlds and games.

Does HiberWorld cost money?

HiberWorld is free to join, free to create, and free to play. There is some premium content you can buy, like some avatar items.

Does HiberWorld have controller support?

HiberWorld does not currently support the use of controllers. We are looking into adding this feature sometime in the future.

How can I delete my account?

Open the hamburger menu (the 3 lines in the top right corner) and go to settings. Once there, press the three dots to open up a new menu. Here you should see the option to “Delete Account”. Click there to start the process of deleting your account.

I bought an avatar item and something went wrong, what do I do?

How do I use the avatar item I bought on other platforms than HiberWorld that are connected to Ready Player Me?

Go to the avatar page on HiberWorld and click on Change outfit - when you are in the avatar selector there is an option to Sign in to Ready Player Me, click on it and either create an account or sign in. If you then connect that account to other platforms you can use the item you bought in worlds outside HiberWorld that are connected to Ready Player Me.

I can’t see the item I bought in the avatar selector, what do I do?

Where can I use the avatar items I have bought?

You can use them on sites that are connected to Ready Player Me - a long and growing list. You can find the whole list here on Ready Player Me’s website.

I purchased an avatar item - where can I find it?

Go to the Avatar section on HiberWorld and click on Change Outfit you will see the item you purchased in the list of things you can add to your avatar. Some items like the Angry Birds Hal Helmet are accessories and require a base avatar to equip. If you have a full body avatar outfit, it’s actually in a different category than ordinary clothing (scroll down in the categories and you will find it).
